How to make squid game ddakji Tutorial
Ddakji (딱지) is the traditional Korean paper-flipping game featured in Squid Game. Making your own ddakji is easy! Here’s a step-by-step guide to making a ddakji out of paper.
Materials Needed:
- 2 square sheets of paper (origami paper or any sturdy paper)
Step-by-Step Instructions:
1. Fold the Paper in Half
- Take one square piece of paper and fold it in half to form a rectangle.
- Unfold it so you can see the crease in the middle.
2. Fold the Edges to the Middle
- Fold both left and right edges towards the center crease.
- You should now have a narrow strip.
3. Fold the Strip in Half
- Take the narrow strip and fold it in half lengthwise.
- This will create a more compact strip.
4. Repeat Steps 1–3 with the Second Paper
- Take the second square sheet and repeat the previous steps to create another folded strip.
5. Combine the Two Strips
- Lay one strip horizontally and the other vertically.
- Interlock them in a way that forms a “T” shape, with the two strips crossing each other.
6. Tuck in the Ends
- Fold the ends of each strip over the other strip’s edges.
- Keep tucking and folding until all the loose ends are secured, forming a square shape.
7. Flatten and Secure
- Press down firmly on your ddakji to make it as flat and solid as possible.
- If needed, use glue or tape to keep it extra sturdy.
How to Play Ddakji
- Place one ddakji flat on the ground.
- The player takes another ddakji and throws it hard onto the first one, trying to flip it over.
- If the ddakji flips over, the player wins!
Now you have your own Squid Game ddakji! Have fun playing! 😊
